2026 Chamber Board organizational meeting

Acting Chairman, Chelsey Peterson, called the meeting to order.  Present were Chelsey Peterson, Jayne Prockish, Jana Slansky, Libby Kester, Dean Kester, and Adam Bryant. 

 

First order of business was the election of new officers for 2026. Nominations were:

 

President - Jayne Prockish

Vice President – Libby Kester

Secretary – Jana Slansky

Treasurer – Chelsey Peterson

City Rep – Adam Bryant

Member at Large – Dean Kester

Member at Large - Vacant

 

Dean Kester moved for unanimous vote for the officer positions as presented.  Chelsey Peterson seconded.  Motion passed 6-0. 

 

Jayne Prockish presided over the rest of the meeting.

 

We still need another Member at Large.  Discussion was about trying to get a representative from Stockton School system to be on the board.

 

Discussion was had about what expectations we had for the new officers and the board for the new year.  President Jayne challenged us to come with a list of goals we would like to see accomplished in the next year.

 

Discussion was had about hiring a new Chamber Director.  Chelsey will place an ad in the Stockton Sentential for a part-time position.

 

The board would like to visit with the city about finances and our commitment going forward.  Libby volunteered to contact the city about getting on the agenda for the next City Council meeting.

 

Membership fees and membership drive were next on the agenda.  Membership fees for 2026 are set at: $25 for a non-business individual and $50 for all business regardless of size or number of employees.  Jana will be contacting Payton to get a list of members from the last few years and work on a membership letter.

 

Next board meeting set for Jan. 13 @ 5:30 pm.  Location will be Stockton City Hall.
